Justin joined the WIOA Adult program while living at a sober living facility, focused on creating a stable future for himself and his daughter. With WIOA support, he completed CDL training at Howard College and earned his license in May 2025. By June, he secured full-time work with the City of San Angelo, quickly putting his skills to use. Justin’s journey showcases resilience, dedication, and the impact of workforce support on personal and professional growth.
Anslee, a motivated young adult new to San Angelo, joined the WIOA Out-of-School Youth program with a goal of becoming a child therapist or school counselor. With guidance from her Career Navigator, she secured a work experience placement as an Early Childhood Aide at the San Angelo Early Childhood Center. She quickly stood out for her dedication, ability to connect with children, and strong work ethic. Her performance earned high praise and led to a full-time job offer, marking an important step toward her career goals.

LONG Industries, Inc., accepted the award at the Texas Workforce Commission's (TWC) 28th Annual Texas Workforce Conference held Dec. 3 - Dec. 5, 2025, in Corpus Christi.
Tyler enrolled in CDL training at Howard College to build a stable career in the transportation industry. Through consistent effort and hands-on learning, he successfully completed the program and earned his Commercial Driver’s License. He quickly secured full-time employment with Reece Albert, earning $21 per hour. His journey highlights how dedication and training can lead to meaningful employment and long-term career growth.
